These songs are primarily designed to augment the congregational-singing portion of worship, but some of them lend themselves quite well to use by choirs, praise-teams, small-ensembles, soloists, etc. Various uses include: emphasis or enhancement of the Pastor’s sermon-text, “calls-to-worship” or service-closers, prayer-responses, and special reflective moments during the worship hour. Also, they make great tools for use in Scripture-memorization emphasis both in the Church or in family devotional times.

     The Sing a Song of Scripture project actually began about 20 years ago as the direct result of an intensive Discipleship training pilgrimage that sparked a keen interest and love for real Scipture songs…actually using Scripture verses as the lyrics, not just songs that merely reflect a Biblical idea or concept.  That has been and continues to be a primary objective of Breezy Hill Music. 

     The composer of the musical settings (Lewis Everett) is a 35+ years Minister of Music, holding his music degree from S.O.S.U. in Durant, OKLA. He has been both a public school music teacher, as well as having served in several Churches all around the State of Oklahoma.  Mr. Everett strongly believes that the Holy Bible is the infallible, inerrant, inspired Word of the Living God, and is the foundation upon which we should – and must – anchor our lives. It is the only acceptable standard by which we can structure our daily living and make proper, spiritually guided choices which are pleasing to God, our Heavenly Father.
